I like this poem by emiloy dickson because she's expressing her true feelings. The poem is intilted I LOVE YOU:
I love you and there is nothing you can do to change the way I fell about you We are meant to be and some day we will be freeTogether at last hoping to share a past you will NEVER have to ask...how long my love will last because it will last forever and that is why we will remain together.you are the reason I am here Because of you I have nothing to fear All I want is to just be with you and there is nothing you can do...Because I love you
Emily Lynn Dicks
The way it connects to my life is becuase I love someone that way and it's true you can feel that way and tell that person but that doesn't mean they will feel the same way but over time maybe they will. you can fell that way about anybody. you can feel that way about a certain friend, boyfriend or husband or wife.

BLOG POSTING # 5 FRIENDSHIP
The Best of Friends© Jill Wolf, sent by Wendy Hinson
The best of friends,Can change a frown,Into a smile,when you feel down.
The best of friends,Will understand,Your little trials,And lend a hand.
The best of friends,Will always share,Your secret dreams,Because they care.
The best of friends,Worth more than gold,Give all the love,A heart can hold.
You can look at this @http://friendshippage.com/ and go to poetry.
The best of friends can make you smile when your unhappy,
The best of Friends will help you through good times and bad,
The best of friends they will hold your secret for know one to know,
The best of friends are worth everything in the world and there not worth losing them.
I like this because it says a lot about what a best friends stands for. You can count on your best friend because you guys will be thick and thin together. Share problems your having with each other that your having, and help each other.
It connects to my life because that's what my best friend and me do. We help each other through things. Plus best friends are suppose to be until the end. If i have a problem or issue i can call her and ask her for advice or just to talk about it, and she does the same thing. Or if there's something she doesn't want anybody else to know about, then she calls me and we talk about it.

Huck Finn's Moral Dilemma Exam 1-23

Well in Huckle Berry Finn it starts out that he lives with a lady named Widow Douglas and she takes good care of him. She also tries to make sure he knows how to behave and respect others. Becuase in the book she "Tels himdon't scrunch up like that" and " set up straight" only because she wants him to be a good boy a gentle man when he get's older. Well in the middle of the book Huck discovers his father isn't dead because he seen foot prints in the snow. When he got home his father was in his room waiting for him. Pap didn't approve that Huck was getting an education, Pap thought Huck was trying to be better then him.
Pap wanted Huck to come and live with him. Because Pap didn't agree with Miss Widow Douglas and wanted Huck to stop getting his education. Pap was basiclly telling Huck that he can't be better then him. Huck was doing bad things because he's father was a bad influence on him. His father asked him where Huck's money was because someone told him that Huck was rich. But Huck wouldn't tell him who had his money because if he did then his father would get drunk. Pap asked Huck if he had money and he said yesand Pap made him give it to him. Well anyways my point is that Pap was infact a bad influence as well as a parent. Becuase Pap would beat on Huck.
So Huck Got sick and tried of it, so he decide to fake his own death to get away from him. They were in a cabin and Huck found an old saw blade and started to cut a place or a whole to get out of. Well oneday he got a chance to do it. His father went out and wasn't going to be back for awhile. So when Huck got out he got a pig and put him in a sack with bricks so it would be heavy. He dragged it from the front door to the river.
This change Huck's character a lot becuase before he was a good boy, he had everything, a good home, education and people who cared about him. Now he has no home because he ran away because of his father beating on him. Also Huck changed because his father wanted him to do bad things. Forexample like steal and lie about his idenity when he was Sarah Williams.
Huck's decision to runaway and fake his death was wrong. I don't blame him for running away because I wouldn't want to be beat on either. Even though his father beats on him, he shouldn't have faked his own death because then the Widow Douglas wouldn't know if he was or not. Miss Douglas really cares about him and it would hurt her.

Readers response 3 ch14-18
The Granderfords house impresses huck because the doors have locks and they also have a new rag carpet on the floor. Having new clothes and being able to have new things like rag carpet on the floor is huck's view of success and happiness because he has a new things. Instead of old rags and having other people's clothes. This is the quote as it states in ch.17, pg73,par4 "as soon as i was in,the old gentlemen he locked the door and barred it and bottled it, and told the young men to come in with their guns, and they all went in a big parlor that had a new rag carpet on the floor".
The books had poems written in them by Emmeline, that's why the books were so special. Huck was interrested in the books because he never seen those kinds of books and never read them. In the books because he never seen those kinds of books and never read them. In the books Huck found pictures that got his attention. Huck belives that you have to get your edcuation. Mark Twain also thoughtthat you needed to get your education. ch17,pg76,par3 "they was different from any pictures i ever see before"
The poems were unique because Emmeline did them before she died. The significance of the painting was that she wasn't sure which set of arms to keep or erase. She was trying to decide before she died. Huck was touched by her because she was talented and because she a good life. ch17,pg77,par1 "and art thou gone yes thou art gone alas".

Reader Response #2 ch 7-13 huck finn
Huck was influenced by Tom Sawyer because he was one of his freinds and he was someone he could look up to for help and just to talk. Huck could go and do things with Tom Saywer and it would an experience for both of them.
In chapter 1 page 2 paragraph 3 Huck complains that Miss Watson the widow would say to him "don't put your feet up there,Huckleberry;"and "don't scrunch up like that,Huckleberry-set up straight." She was a good influence on him because she trying to tell him that it is good to go to chruch and dress nice.
Pap was a bad influence on him becasue he was never there for him and he always get drunk. Ch5,pg14,par3 "Don't you give me none o' your lip," says he."You've put on consireable many frills since i been away. I'll take you down a peg before i get dne with you. You're educated, too, they say;can read and write. You think you're better'n your father, now, don't you, because he can't? I'll take it out of you. wjo told you youo might meddle with such hifalut'n foolishness, hey? who told you you could?" Huck respond the Widow. Huck's pap is trying to get his to do the things that he doing with him. Pap doesn't belive in education i am guessing because instead of being happy and glad that he's getting his education pap would rather huck not do it. I think becasue pap didn't get that chance to do it and huck does he don't want his doing it or maybe it's something else.
Jim is another influecne on Huck because he can talk to him. Jim was brve and when they heard something (meaning jim and huck) jim would look to see what it was. jim didn't want huck to see waht jim has seen. In a way jim was protecting Huck.

"Oh, yes, this is a wonderful govment, wonderful. why, looky here. there was a free ______ there from ohio; a mutaltter, most as white as a white man. He had the most whitest shirt on you ever se, too, and the shiniest hat; and there aint a man in that town thats got as fine clothes as what he had; and he had a gold watch and chain, and a silver-headed cane- the awfulest old gray-headed nabob in the state. and what do you think? they said hes a p'fesser in a college. and could talk all kinds of languages, and knowed everything. and that aint the wust of it, they said he could vote, when he was at home. well, that let me out, thinks i. what is this country a- commin to? it was 'lection day, and i was just about to go and vote myself, if i warn' to drunk to get there; but when they told me there was a state in this country where they'd let that ______ vote, i drawed out. i says ill never vote again. thems the very words i said; they all heard me ; and the country may rot for all of me- ill never vote again as long as i live. and to see the cool way of that ______- why, he wouldnt five me the road if i hadn't shoved him out o' the way. says i to the people, why aint this ______ put up at auction and sold?" (pg. 20 chapter 6 2nd full paragraph).
I belive you should treat everybody with respect and be kind to them no no matter what race they are. because we may be a different color but that doesn't mean anything becasue we come into this the same way and we all bleed the same color. what I think pap thinks is wrong because he uses the "n" word alot in this paragraph and I belive he would probalby get mad or upset if someone was saying like that about him.
This relates to Mark Twain and his life because he was a live during the rascist time and he may of heard alot of people talking about rascism. He probably thought that time was very sad because he was always hearing stuff like that.
